Janice Williams

Janice Williams has dedicated her career to cross-cultural work across six African countries, while her travels have taken her to over 15 African nations. Her focus has consistently been on advancing human rights, particularly for women and children, and fostering international business relations between the United States and Africa.

As a trailblazer in introducing American business products to the African market, Williams played a pivotal role in bringing Anheuser-Busch beer to Africa. Beyond this commercial achievement, her work emphasized women's economic empowerment. She spearheaded initiatives to support women in starting small businesses by importing recycled clothing and shoes from the United States. Her efforts extended to philanthropy, donating clothing and shoes to orphanages and schools across Africa, significantly benefiting underserved communities.

Williams is also a passionate advocate for literacy among women and girls. Her commitment to education and technological advancement was exemplified by her initiative to supply refurbished computers, sourced from U.S. recycling programs, to training programs in Liberia. These programs equipped women and girls with vital technological skills, empowering them to access better opportunities and improve their socio-economic standing.

Currently, Janice Williams is the owner of JMILCO, LLC, a Maryland-based enterprise specializing in repairing and selling recycled electronics. JMILCO offers bulk electronic shipments to international customers and serves as a training ground for aspiring IT professionals. Through its programs, JMILCO helps students obtain their A+ Certification, a globally recognized credential for computer service technicians.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and a Juris Doctorate from the Antioch School of Law.

Her career serves as a testament to her unwavering commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding, empowering marginalized communities, and advancing global business relationships.
